Dr. Erika Fauth is the ER Service Head here at VECC.
She is originally from York PA and has lived in Las Vegas since 2014.
With a family that includes 6 dogs, 2 cats, and a rabbit (all rescues), she is often asked if she is a dog walker when out and about with her pooches.
When not working, she and her husband enjoy traveling.

Dr. Braaten is originally from Connecticut. She completed her Bachelors Degree at Purdue University and went to veterinary school at Ross University with her final year back at Purdue (Boiler Up!). She went on to do her rotating internship at the VCA Westbury in Long Island, NY, her first surgical internship at Pieper Memorial in Connecticut and her second surgical internship at Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center. Her hobbies include horseback riding, hiking, and playing videogames with friends.
Dr. Jessie Warhoe leads our emergency & critical care practice. She earned her DVM from The Ohio State University before completing a rotating internship at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, D.C. She then completed a residency in Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) and earned an MS in Clinical Sciences at Colorado State University. Before pursuing veterinary medicine, she worked as an environmental engineer, an experience that continues to influence her analytical approach to solving complex medical problems.
Dr. Warhoe enjoys the variety, pace, and teamwork that come with ECC, where every day presents new challenges and no two patients are alike. Her clinical interests include shock and resuscitation, point-of-care ultrasound, and the management of critically ill patients. She enjoys getting to know each family and believes the best treatment plans come from combining the latest medical evidence with a clear understanding of each family’s values and priorities.
Raised in Texas, Dr. Warhoe enjoys spending time with the people and pets she loves, including a lively crew of dogs and cats. Outside the hospital, she’s usually reading a good book, traveling, hiking, skiing, and simply spending time outdoors,

Dr. Wouter Bolsenbroek is a highly experienced emergency and critical care veterinarian, who is excited to offer care to pets in the Las Vegas area.
After completing his training in Australia, he has built his career around delivering high-quality medicine with the kind of clear, honest communication that families need most in difficult moments.
Dr. Bolsenbroek is passionate about working within a team with a deliberate focus on culture, alongside clinicians and technicians who hold themselves to a high standard. The whole team understands that genuinely exceptional care is not just clinical excellence, but communicating clearly and empathetically to deliver the right care, for the right patient, each time.
Whether managing a complex overnight emergency or guiding a family through an unexpected diagnosis, his goal is the same: to be a trusted partner for pets and their families in need, delivering calm, decisive care to achieve the best possible outcome for every patient.
Dr. Fasanella is originally from Hamilton, New Jersey. He completed his Bachelors Degree at Delaware Valley College and went to veterinary school at Mississippi State University. Dr. Fasanella did his rotating internship at the University of Missouri and his surgical internship at Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center. His hobbies include hiking, working out, and painting.
Dr. Fernandez completed her bachelor’s degree at UC Davis. She then went to Midwestern University in Arizona to obtain her doctorate in veterinary medicine. After veterinary school she completed a Small Animal Rotating Internship at Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. Her hobbies include hiking, yoga, and traveling with her dog.
Dr. Melissa Swire is an emergency veterinarian, providing life-saving care to pets in the greater Las Vegas area.
She is passionate about the interaction between people, animals, and the environment.
Dr. Swire is NAVLE Certified and leverages the experience she gained from internships in Morocco, Costa Rico and Belgium where she honed her diagnostic and treatment skills.
Outside of the hospital, she can usually be found at home taking care of her bird, dog, and a small jungle’s worth of houseplants. Her hobbies include reading, art, crafts (crochet and sewing), & trying new food. On the rare occasion you find Dr. Swire in the wild, she’s probably hiking with her dog or traveling the world.

Dr. Valle grew up in Yonkers, New York. He studied at Becker College where he earned his bachelors in animal science and veterinary medicine. Dr. Valle moved to St. Kitts to attend Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. He finished his clinical year at Louisiana State University and moved to Las Vegas in the summer of 2022. When Dr. Valle is not working he loves to spend time with his two dogs, Mary Jane and Pepper Potts
Dr. Isabelle Vernaz is an emergency veterinarian providing exceptional care to pets in the Las Vegas area and beyond.
Her professional interests include emergency medicine, feline medicine, and creating low-stress experiences for all pets whenever possible.
Dr. Vernaz was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, Reno before receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. She then completed an emergency and critical care internship in San Antonio, Texas, before returning to Nevada to be closer to family.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Vernaz enjoys spending time with her two cats, Milo and Lilah, and her two Golden Retrievers, Flapjack and Blueberry.
